Why Fairy Tales?I decided to take a modern spin on the classic fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" and modernize her a bit. I feel that often times the female in fairy tales is a bit outdated for the world we live in. Traditionally, they need to be saved and their place is in the home. I wanted Little Red to be a heroine in her own right. I chose to update the speech a bit to make it more relate-able to today's audience. While fairy tales provide an excellent framework for readers and writers, they can be played with and tweaked and I think that makes them interesting in that they can keep evolving and changing from one generation to the next.

About the AuthorI just finished my English master's degree in English. I chose to focus more on creative writing because that is a passion of mine. I primarily write non-fiction "memory snapshots". I do dabble in poetry sometimes as well. Nuff Said is one of the longest works I have written. Like all authors, I have a few other story ideas floating around. Putting the words to paper is sometimes difficult. "Nuff Said" evolved out of a simple class exercise about fairy tales and dialogue. It was only meant to be an activity to get you working in characters' speaking. Little did I know that that would become my master's project and later something that I would self-publish. I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, cooking and baking, and hanging with my friends and family.

Why a Cookbook?Cooking has been a passion of mine for about 10 years now. I actually thought about being a chef and still might, but for right now I'll just stick to my own home kitchen. I think it is fun to create something out of simple unrelated ingredients. I try to challenge myself to make things that are a little bit out of my comfort zone. I wanted to bring my passion of food to children and adults alike when I came up with this idea of having recipes based off fairy tales. I also wanted the recipes to be easy to understand with SIMPLE ingredients. Too often, recipes are overly complicated with their pictures and ingredients. I wanted simple.
